Terms of Service

Last updated · April 22, 2026

The short version: Use Moodly in good faith, respect other people, and understand that we're a small team doing our best. These terms set out the basics.

1. Welcome

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Moodly website, waitlist, and — once launched — the Moodly mobile app (together, the "Service"). By joining the waitlist or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. Who can use Moodly

You must be at least 13 years old to use Moodly. If you're under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission. By using the Service you confirm you meet these requirements.

3. The waitlist

Joining the waitlist means you'd like to be notified when Moodly launches and you agree to receive launch-related emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send you. Being on the waitlist doesn't guarantee access at launch — we may onboard people in waves.

4. Your account (once the app is live)

5. What Moodly is (and isn't)

Moodly is a wellness and self-reflection tool. It is not a medical device, and it is not a substitute for professional mental-health care, diagnosis, or treatment. If you're in crisis, please contact a qualified professional or a local emergency service. The AI insights and exercises are designed to support self-awareness, not to provide therapy.

6. Your content

Your mood entries, notes, and personal reflections belong to you. By saving them in Moodly, you give us a limited license to store, display them back to you, and process them to deliver the features of the Service (like AI-generated insights).

We will never use your private entries to train public AI models, and we will never share them publicly.

7. Acceptable use

Please don't:

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these rules.

8. AI features

Moodly's weekly letters and personality insights are generated by AI based on your own entries. AI can be wrong, incomplete, or emotionally off-key — please treat it as a gentle companion, not a source of truth. We work to improve these features over time.

9. Changes & availability

We may update, add, or remove features as the Service evolves. We may also temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance. We'll try to give notice for meaningful changes, but we can't always guarantee uptime.

10. Payment

Moodly may offer both free and paid features. Pricing, billing terms, and refund policies will be presented clearly before you make any purchase, and will be added to these Terms before launch.

11. Ending your relationship with Moodly

You can stop using Moodly and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we need to for legal or safety reasons.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular purpose. To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Moodly and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Service.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are meaningful, we'll let you know by email or in-app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Contact

If you have any questions about these Terms, please reach out at hello@moodly.my. We read everything.
